Skincare gives different results on different skin types even when it’s two different dry skin people. With so many options flooding the market, finding suitable sunscreen for your skin can be overwhelming. Today, I am going to provide my non-sponsored honest reviews into the world of sun protection to compare two popular sunscreens: Dot & Key Vitamin C+E Super Bright Sunscreen and Foxtale Cover Up Dewy Sunscreen. After using it religiously for the past few months, I have broken down each aspect to help you decide which one deserves a spot in your beauty routine. Let’s see which SPF is better.
Description of the Products
First things first, let’s see what the brand claims. Dot & Key Vitamin C Sunscreen boasts a powerful blend of antioxidants and SPF 50 PA+++, providing broad-spectrum protection against harmful UV rays while brightening and rejuvenating the skin. On the other hand, Foxtale Dewy Sunscreen prides itself on its lightweight formula infused with hydrating and UV absorption hero ingredients like niacinamide, provitamin B5, and vitamin E, offering SPF 70 PA++++ protection with a dewy finish for that radiant glow.
Packaging
Packaging is different from both the sunscreens. Dot And Key sunscreen comes in a slim bottle which is perfect for travelling as it doesn’t require much space. Plus, it has a screw-on cap with a pointed nozzle to dispense the sunscreen in a controlled amount. Further, you will get enough product details that are mentioned on the bottle itself. Meanwhile, Foxtale sunscreen comes in a cylindrical sturdy bottle which also easily fits in the place. It comes with a pump dispenser and the bottle is slightly heavier than the Dot & Key sunscreen.
Textures
Texture matters, especially when it comes to sunscreen. Dot & Key Vitamin C Sunscreen glides onto the skin effortlessly, leaving behind a smooth, non-greasy finish that feels weightless throughout the day. Meanwhile, Foxtale Dewy Sunscreen delights the senses with its silky-smooth texture that blends seamlessly, imparting a subtle radiance for that dewy complexion without any tackiness.

SPF Factor
Sun protection is important in the aging process, and I must say both products deliver commendable SPF levels to shield my skin from the sun’s harmful rays. Dot & Key Vitamin C Sunscreen offers SPF 50 PA+++, providing high-level protection against both UVA and UVB rays, while Foxtale Dewy Sunscreen offers SPF 70 PA++++ protection, ideal for daily wear with high sun exposure. Ultimately, the choice between the two depends on your sun protection needs and lifestyle.
Suits Which Skin Type
Finding a sunscreen that suits your skin type is crucial for a seamless skincare routine. Dot & Key Vitamin C Sunscreen caters to oily, combination, and sensitive skin, thanks to its watery, lightweight, non-comedogenic formula that absorbs excess oil without clogging pores. Whereas, Foxtale Dewy Sunscreen is suitable especially for those with dry skin, as it provides a boost of hydration while protecting against sun damage.
Price and Availability
When it comes to price and availability, both products are affordable and offer excellent value for money.
Dot & Key Vitamin C Sunscreen is available for MRP 445/- for 50 gms of product.
Foxtale Dewy Sunscreen is priced slightly higher but you can get it at amazing discounts, is available for MRP 595/- for 50 ml of product.
Both sunscreens are available on Amazon, Nykaa, and on their website too.
White Cast and Fragrance
Nobody wants to deal with a dreaded white cast or overpowering fragrance, and fortunately, both products pass the test with flying colors. Dot & Key Vitamin C Sunscreen blends seamlessly into the skin without leaving behind any residue or white cast. Similarly, Foxtale Dewy Sunscreen is a little thick as compared to the Dot & Key sunscreen but provides no white cast and absolutely no fragrance.
My personal Experience:
Being a dry-skinned person, I usually opt for products that are dewy, hydrated, and provide radiance to my skin. While in summers I loved Dot & Key Sunscreen because of its watery texture which suits my sweaty skin, my winters are dedicated to Foxtale dewy sunscreen. I have enjoyed both of them depending on my skin situation. My skincare routine comprises cleansing, serum, moisturizer, and then sunscreen. Both sunscreens perform very well on my skin.
Furthermore, I will recommend using the Dot & Key sunscreen only when you are going out for a short period because of its thin consistency forms a thin layer on the skin which might not be enough for beach and vacations. Although, it is easy to reapply and does not become patchy on reapplication. Whereas, Foxtale sunscreen stays for a longer period. I generally reapply my sunscreen in 4-5 hours.
These days people are attracted to those stick sunscreens and I am eagerly waiting to try them on.
To Conclude:
Choosing the right sunscreen boils down to personal preference and specific skincare needs. Whether you opt for the brightening benefits of Dot & Key Vitamin C Sunscreen or the hydrating glow of Foxtale Dewy Sunscreen, rest assured that both products offer reliable sun protection with added skincare benefits to keep your complexion looking radiant and healthy all year round.
