Summer Essentials: FOXTALE MATTE FINISH SUNSCREEN!

Summers are the time when my skin tends to sweat a lot and produce oil in the T-zone area. PA++++. After using the Super Glow Moisturizer by Foxtale all winter, I decided to get my mitts on the Matte Finish Sunscreen with SPF 70 to do away with the greasiness.

Foxtale as a skincare brand signifies the importance of using skincare as per your skin type. You can find sunscreens for all skin types on their website and choose whatever formulation goes well with your skin type. As a Combination-skin girlie in summer, I’m on a mission to find an appropriate sunscreen that mattifies my t-zone without drying up the rest of the face. I think this struggle would resonate with a lot of combination skin type folks trying to zero in on skincare. And this leads to spending on a lot of skincare for our little face. Jokes apart, I’ve already tried sunscreens from a few brands that claim the ultimate matte texture without drying up the face, but they are very greasy and heavy, and somehow, I end up sweating like crazy.

So, when I saw this Foxtale Matte sunscreen with SPF 70 PA++++, I was super hopeful to give it a try and see if it works for my combination skin. If you’re considering buying this, my review should help you decide. It’s been more than 15 days since I have been using this sunscreen and here’s what I think. Scroll ahead for the reveal!

Brand claims:

Foxtale has nailed the formula and curated this matte sunscreen for oily skin people. It is infused with Niacinamide, provitamin B5, and peptides, and it has an SPF of 70 pa++++ to protect your skin from UVA and UVB rays. It regulates oil production, reduces pigmentation, keeping your skin bright and matte for a long time. This sunscreen is devoid of sulphate and parabens and you can use it if you have sensitive skin to avoid flare-ups. Unlike other sunscreens, it absorbs quickly and bestows a matte finish on the skin. Daily use reveals even skin tone, fewer fine lines, and nourished skin. Blends easily and doesn’t leave a white cast. Lightweight and non-greasy. It also helps prevent tanning.

Packaging:

Foxtale Matte Finish Sunscreen comes in a pale-yellow cylindrical plastic bottle with a pump dispenser covered with a cap. The bottle is comparatively heavy but gives off a luxury product vibe. It is packed inside an outer cardboard box, and product information and ingredients are mentioned on the outer packaging. The inside bottle is similar to the Cover-up dewy sunscreen. Foxtale has nailed on the packaging of these products.

My overall experience:

Being a combination and sensitive skin person, my skin is in love with this sunscreen. It glides easily on the skin without much effort. The blending of this sunscreen doesn’t require aggressive rubbing which generally I have seen in many matte-finish sunscreens. And the great part is that it doesn’t add any more greasiness to my oily T-zone skin area.

As a professional makeup artist, I understand the importance of sunscreen in our daily skincare regime. Foxtale Matte Sunscreen is a chemical-based sunscreen that blends into the skin quickly and provides broad-spectrum protection of SPF 70 PA++++. It gives a matte glow effect with its water-resistant formulation. The fact that it doesn’t irritate the eyes and can be removed easily with any oil-based cleanser or foaming cleanser makes it a good one to be used daily. This sunscreen is extremely lightweight and blends easily into the skin without giving any white cast. I have used sunscreens which after putting on the makeup on top of that show a horrible white cast, which is not the case with this sunscreen.

Most importantly, it doesn’t dry out my face or give me any breakouts. It doesn’t feel like anything heavy or greasy you put on your face but still hydrates my skin. I love how my skin feels after applying this Foxtale matte Sunscreen. Do try it if you want to keep your skin protected and greasiness at bay in summer.
