1. Graphic liners
Bold, artistic lines adorned the eyes of models, adding an edgy flair to their looks. Creativity knew no bounds on the runway, as designers seamlessly transitioned from geometric shapes to abstract designs, showcasing the breadth of their imaginative prowess. Makeup artists experimented with vibrant colors and precise strokes to create eye-catching masterpieces. Whether it was a pop of neon or a sleek black wing, graphic liner added a touch of drama to every ensemble. Tripti Dimri stole the spotlight with her captivating graphic wing liner paired with a daring nude lip, adding an extra dimension to her appearance at the Shantanu and Nikhil show.
2. Wet Makeup Look
Gone are the days when only wet hair was trending, the Wet makeup look is taking the lead now. Radiant, luminous skin took center stage at Lakme India Fashion Week 2024. In this collection, Rahul Mishra explores nature as his eternal muse, portraying it as the supreme sculptor and artist. Models strutted down the runway with dewy complexions that looked like they were kissed by the sun. Achieving this glass-like glow was all about prepping the skin with hydrating serums and lightweight moisturizers. Makeup artists opted for sheer foundations and illuminating primers to enhance the skin’s natural luminosity. A touch of cream highlighter on the high points of the face completed the look, leaving the models looking like glowing goddesses.
3. Metallic Hues
The make-up for each element enhanced the overall theme of Lakme Fashion X Geisha Designs by Paras and Shalini. Soft pink hues adorned the eyes with a graceful dance, delicately extending to the cheekbones, adding a touch of ethereal beauty. The cosmos sparkled to life with mesmerizing silver glitter. Models flaunted eyes drenched in metallic silver shadows, creating an edgy and futuristic vibe. Makeup artists played with varying textures, from shimmering foils to sparkling glitters, to achieve maximum impact. The earth tones were peppered with deep brown lips with gold accents. For the rest, a mesmerizing pink haze washed across the eyes and cheeks.
4. Sultry Smokey Eyes
At KALKI’s latest collection, retro glam took center stage, transporting us into a space of timeless beauty and ushering in the essence of spring and the vibrancy of summer. This is one of my favorite looks from the Lakme Fashion Week 2024, where Jahnvi Kapoor showcased carrying a smokey eye with nude lips. The contoured face with the classic matte appearance made it timeless.
5. Bold Lips
Taapsee Pannu didn’t just wear the dress, she owned it! She walked the runway with confidence and style, her hair flowing in waves and her makeup flawless. The rich burgundy shade on her lips infused a sense of drama into the entire ensemble. It was evident that she felt incredible in that dress!
6. Red Lips
A bold red lip is never out of style and it is proved in the Rajdeep Ranawat show in Lakme Fashion Week. With its timeless charm, natural grace, and empowering poise, the red lip remains a trend destined to reign supreme for years to come. Whether it was a rich ruby hue or a vibrant scarlet shade, there was no denying the timeless appeal of this iconic lip color. Actress Divya Khosla sophisticatedly flaunted that bold red lip turned many heads.
7. Classic Wings
What I love about Arvind Ampula’s show is the choice of colors for their collection. Models strutted down the runway at the Arvind Ampula showcase donning the classic winged eyeliner look with soft nude make-up. Like the never-ending commitment to the Red lips, Classic Wing liners are here to stay forever in this industry.
8. Highlighting at its peak
Ananya Pandey was spotted in the grand finale for Rahul Mishra at Lakme Fashion Week. With that sleek tight ponytail flaunting that bold Smokey eyes with core nude lips are a win-win situation at Fashion Week. you can never go wrong with the black look!
9. Soft Glam
Adding to the glamour of the Geisha Designs Show, rising Bollywood star Medha Shankar graced the ramp as the showstopper, donning an exquisite creation from the Elemental Symphony Collection. Dewy skin with soft metallic hues on eyes and a nude wash on lips which were perfectly complimenting the collection. The makeup showcases trends such as an ultra-glossy finish for the skin, watercolor-like translucent eye shadow, and full, glossy lips, among others.
10. Kohl Eyes
Anushree Reddy chose a simple make-up mood board for her showcase–kohl-rimmed eyes with a natural dewy look. This is a classic look and regal look which enhances the colours of the outfit. This method infused depth and intensity into the gaze, crafting a captivating effect that emphasized the eyes without overshadowing the overall makeup look. It’s a simple yet effective way to make a statement with your eye makeup.
