Praush Beauty Jelly Tint: The Summer Tint That’s All the Rage

In our beauty world, which is saturated with options, few products manage to capture the imagination and, of course, our vanities. I have recently seen this innovation from an international brand, Milk Makeup, which launched their cooling water jelly tints. I passed at the moment, thinking of it as one more gimmick in disguise. Also, spending on such products, knowing international brands are expensive when they reach India, was not worth spending for me. If there’s one product that’s been flooding my Instagram feed and might be populating every beauty influencer’s “favourites of the month” list, it’s the Praush Beauty Jelly Tint. An Indian homegrown brand, aesthetically on-point, and undeniably functional, this jelly tint is a new-age Indian dupe to the Milk Makeup jelly tints. But is it comparable?

In my opinion, “Praush Beauty” products are practical enough for daily wear and pro-level uses. So, when they launched their Juicy Jelly Tints (hello, Milk Makeup dupe!), I didn’t even hesitate. It straight went to the cart. After applying one dab of this glossy, juicy tint and I got the hype. It’s been all over my feed, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, you name it. But beyond the filters and reels, does it live up to the hype? As always, Beautyspade dives deep.

#1. Packaging and Texture of the Product:

Praush Beauty, always known for its aesthetic packaging, does not disappoint. The Jelly Tint arrives in a sleek, cylindrical tube, pale pink coloured with minimal branding, nodding to the luxe, absolutely apt for a clean-girl aesthetic. It’s compact, travel-friendly, and you can easily carry it in your bag without adding so much weight. The texture, however, is what sets this product apart for me. I am new to such kind of jelly-like blush products. As the name suggests, it has a jelly-like consistency, is light, bouncy, and hydrating.

It’s not a traditional cream formula nor a watery stain. It jiggles just enough to feel fun, but melts on my fingers with a buttery smoothness. What I feel about this tint is, it has a cushioned gel texture that melts upon contact with the skin, offering just the right amount of pigment without overwhelming. You can easily build it without going extra. It’s minimalist, luxurious, and perfectly Instagrammable. It’s a kind of product I would want in my vanity tray just for the aesthetic points. When I applied it on my face, it felt refreshing, almost like a cooling balm, and this touchable experience instantly sets it apart from all the blushes/tints I have in my vanity.

#2. Application on the Lips:

On my lips, Praush Beauty Jelly Tint is a soft, blurred wash of colour that’s evocative of that “just-bitten” K-beauty look. It’s not matte, nor is it glossy, just a perfectly right amount of natural colour. The jelly melts into a sheer tint on my lips that’s buildable. I prefer a single swipe for a natural flush, or I apply a few more dabs to deepen out for a full day glam. It does all without clumping or drying out my lips.

Unlike traditional stains that can leave lips parched, I didn’t face such dryness from this jelly tint. It boasts a balm-like moisture on my dried lips that feels comforting. I recommend exfoliating lips before applying any lip stains. The stain will stay longer. The stain fades gracefully throughout the day, but I can still see color on my lips up to 7-8 hours after application.

Pro Application Tip: Try this application method, you will love it. Start by lip lining, using any lipliner, a shade darker than your lips. Apply Praush beauty jelly tint, wait for 30 seconds, and finish it off with a clear lip gloss or a lip oil. You are done, my girl! That’s the best summer-inspired lips.”

#3. Application on the Cheeks:

This is the part I am most excited about. I love stained cheeks in summer instead of going with the heavy cream blushes. I prefer applying it with a brush or sometimes a finger for that even blend of colour. It gives a seamless, watercolour-like flush that looks like skin but better. Whether I am going bare-faced or full glam, this tint immediately brightens up my face, adds dimension and life without sitting on top of my base. The tint’s formula feels lightweight and breathable, cooling and refreshing on the skin, ideal for Indian weather, where cream formulas can sometimes feel suffocating.

#4. Does it Live Up to the Hyped Milk Makeup Tint?

In one word: Yes. But with a small heads-up.

Praush Beauty Jelly Tint does deliver on its promise. It’s super easy to use, feels amazing going on, and it blends beautifully on my lips and cheeks. It works across different skin types and layers well with other makeup. If you love that natural, no-makeup makeup look, this one’s a total win.

Now, the shelf life of this tint is just six months after opening, which might be a disappointment for some. I don’t mind because I’ve been reaching for it almost daily anyway. It’s not made for those chasing intense pigment or all-day wear, but it is perfect for soft, everyday color, especially during summer.

What makes it stand out, though, is that Praush isn’t just copying trends; it’s doing something fresh with textures. That’s rare, especially from Indian brands. And I nearly forgot to mention the best part: the shades! It comes in three fun shades: Orange Slushy, Grape Crush, and Raspberry Mood. I’m showing off Raspberry Mood here, and honestly, it looks fab on all skin tones.

#5. Comparison with Milk Makeup Cooling Water Jelly Tint:

Ah, the inevitable comparison, Milk Makeup’s Cooling Water Jelly Tint is often considered the OG of jelly textures. But how does our homegrown Praush measure up?

Packaging & Branding: Milk makeup has colour-coded packaging, which is statement-making and very “clean-girl aesthetic.” Praush, on the other hand, feels more elegant and minimalist, perfect for subtle choices.

Texture: Milk’s jelly is more of a cooling stick, refreshing and firm. Praush’s version is softer and more emollient, melting faster into the skin, which may suit warmer Indian climates better.

Pigmentation: Milk Makeup’s tint is more sheer, requiring more layering. Praush delivers slightly more pigment payoff, making it more versatile for medium to deeper Indian skin tones.

Wearability: Both products offer similar longevity and sheer coverage, but Praush feels more hydrating.Price Point: Milk Makeup is priced at a premium, and importing it to India adds to the cost. Praush delivers a comparable experience at a fraction of the price, making it a savvy choice for budget-conscious beauty lovers without skimping on luxury.

Beautyspade Final Verdict:

As a beauty blogger who’s tried everything from Pat McGrath to Patanjali, I am genuinely impressed by this jelly tint. I have tried 100s of lip products, but this jelly tint surprised me completely. It feels contemporary yet thoughtful, bold yet wearable, and most importantly, it understands Indian skin and style.
