Met Gala 2025: The Indian Icons Who Have Graceful Influence!

The first Monday in May came and went, but not quietly. Met Gala 2025 was nothing short of magical. The 2025 Met Gala, themed “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” was a celebration of heritage, craftsmanship, and personal storytelling. A glowing complexion was the foundation of many looks at the Met Gala 2025. The eyes took center stage with dramatic and artistic expressions, and the lips were adorned with rich, vibrant hues. In step with the ‘Tailored for You’ theme, the evening’s most notable beauty statement wasn’t a bold lip or graphic liner but hair. Sleek, structured, and sculpted to perfection, these styles mirrored the architectural finesse of the evening’s couture tailoring. Among the standout attendees were seven Indian women who seamlessly blended cultural richness with contemporary fashion, making indelible impressions on the red carpet.

1. Priyanka Chopra Jonas:

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, a Met Gala veteran, turned heads in a custom Balmain ensemble by Olivier Rousteing. The outfit featured a structured polka-dot jacket paired with a matching dress, exuding a retro charm. However, the pièce de résistance was her Bvlgari “Magnus” necklace, boasting a staggering 241 carat emerald, the largest faceted stone ever set by the brand. Complemented by diamond earrings and an emerald ring, her jewelry choices epitomized opulence. Her makeup was kept understated, with a focus on radiant skin, soft brown eyes, and berry lips, allowing her ensemble and jewelry to take center stage.

2. Mindy Kaling:

Mindy Kaling embraced the gala’s theme with a custom Harbison Studios suit, showcasing military-inspired tailoring. The neutral-toned ensemble featured sharp lines and a slim red train, adding a touch of drama to the whole night. Accessorized with Marco Bicego jewelry, her look was both powerful and bang on. Her makeup featured a nude lip and smoked out eyes, enhancing her presence. One of the confident looks I have seen at the Met Gala 2025.

3. Kiara Advani:

Making her Met Gala debut, Kiara Advani radiated grace in Gaurav Gupta’s creation titled “Bravehearts.” The ensemble, characterized by its sculptural design and flowing silhouette, celebrated her journey into motherhood. Her makeup was soft and dewy, with neutral tones highlighting her natural beauty. Wavy hair cascaded down her shoulders, adding to the ethereal vibe.

4. Isha Ambani:

Isha Ambani dazzled in a bespoke Anamika Khanna outfit at the Met Gala 2025 red carpet, comprising sleek pants, an embroidered top, and a waistcoat adorned with pearls and tassels. Her jewelry choice was a showstopper, a diamond necklace reminiscent of the one worn by Anne Hathaway in “Ocean’s 8,” originally inspired by a 1931 Cartier design for the Maharaja of Nawanagar. This heirloom piece, borrowed from her mother Nita Ambani, seamlessly blended cinematic allure with familial heritage. Her makeup was all about glazed brown lids, softly sculpted cheeks, and a nude lip that let the embroidery shine. Her brows were also precise, intentional, and striking, that elusive balance between delicate and defined.

5. Natasha Poonawalla:

Natasha Poonawalla captivated attendees in a custom Manish Malhotra ensemble, featuring intricate Parsi Gara embroidery. The outfit, a fusion of Indian craftsmanship and contemporary design, was complemented by a Chanel bag valued at over ₹7.5 lakhs. Her makeup comprises luminous skin, with brushed out eyes and a pink nude lip, while her hair was styled in a sleek updo, allowing the detailed embroidery to shine.

6. Mona Patel:

Entrepreneur Mona Patel embraced avant-garde fashion in a custom Thom Browne suit, featuring a corseted bodice and a dramatic cape. Adding a futuristic twist, she was accompanied by “Vector,” a robotic dog designed by MIT, symbolizing the fusion of technology and style. Her makeup was minimalistic, focusing on a flawless complexion and subtle highlights, aligning with the ensemble’s modern aesthetic. Bronze, warm tone lids, and that contoured skin was to die for. The glam was perfection and never too loud for the Met.

7. Diya Mehta Jatia:

Diya Mehta Jatia’s reimagined dandyism in a white custom BLONI ensemble crafted from Himalayan cashmere trailing into a train encrusted with 15,000 clear quartz crystals looked like a modern-day mystic in motion. The outfit featured formal off-white pants, an abstract shirt with curved panels, and a quartz-embroidered back panel. Accessorized with a Nehru cap, antique silver cane, and heirloom polki jewelry, her look paid homage to traditional Indian menswear while infusing contemporary elements. Her beauty comprises rosy lids, a deep pink lip, and high-drama lashes, grounded by natural skin and sculptural ear cuffs.

The 2025 Met Gala witnessed Indian women redefining beauty and fashion narratives globally. Through a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, they showcased the power of cultural storytelling, leaving an indelible mark on the world of haute couture.
