1. Skincare:
Skincare is the most crucial step for any makeup to be flawless and long-lasting. Finding products that suit your skin type is a task but you can’t neglect that. You cannot apply makeup on the naked skin. That’s a big no-no for me!
Here are a few steps that have to be followed while doing skincare.
Firstly, you need to check what your skin type is. Don’t worry it’s easy to check by yourself. Wash your face in the morning, and leave it for an hour or so. Now carefully observe it, if you are feeling stretch on your skin then you have dry skin, if it’s shiny all over your face, it’s oily skin type. No stretch no shine anywhere then you are blessed with normal skin. There might be a few shiny areas and a few stretches then you have a combination of skin.

That’s it, now you are ready to start your skincare. Start with a cleanser, toner and followed by a good moisturizer. There is one step that is so underrated, and that is primer! Primers provide the base for the foundation application. It’s not necessary for most people but I feel primers should be included to make your makeup last long and also it help slow down skin imperfections such as acne, skin aging, etc. Also don’t forget to drink lots of water and eat healthy.
2. Face:
Now that you have covered the important skincare part… all steps will fall into place. After knowing your skin type you should know your skin tone or skin colour. With so many makeup products out there, it’s hard sometimes to know what’s best for your skin tone. It’s really important to invest your time in your skincare to know what works best for your skin type and skin tone. Also to understand what makeup formulas work best for your skin, sheer(transparent) or full coverage(opaque).

Foundation:
There are many formulations of foundations in the market such as liquid, cream, mousse, powder, and Skin tints, which are the current trend for minimal makeup. See what works best for your skin depending on the weather. My personal favorite is liquid and skin tints for that “NO-MAKEUP MAKEUP LOOK”.
Foundation application techniques: There is no such thing as the “Right technique” when it comes to foundation application. But there are a few which work well for me. You can use brushes, blenders, and even your fingers to apply your foundation. I saw many people, not in favour of applying foundation with fingers. Many beauty industry experts do that. I told you makeup is so subjective and personal.
Concealer:
For that extra coverage and further dimension on your face, you need concealers. Like foundation, concealers are also depending on your skin type. Opt for a shade matching your foundation or slightly lighter for highlighting. Concealer application depends on how much coverage and brightness you want. Dab it onto blemishes or areas with redness, blending gently using a makeup sponge or brush. For that no-makeup look, I prefer using concealer rather than foundations. Just a little correction and you are good to go.
Powders:
Compacts work great for oily sweaty skin. If you are dealing with dry skin, try out sheer loose powders for just setting your face without making it cakey.
Blush/Bronzer/Highlighter:
Infuse life and color into your complexion with blush. Smile to locate the apples of your cheeks, then apply blush gently, upwardly. Choose a shade that complements your skin tone—peaches and pinks are universally flattering. Blush adds a healthy flush to your face, creating a youthful and radiant appearance.
Bronzers add a definition to your face by covering that chubbiness and highlighters enhance your features by making it forward.
Pro tip: I believe all face shapes are beautiful, but Ideal face shape is OVAL as per this beauty industry. Just look at your face in the mirror, and you will immediately see what needs to be enhanced and what needs to be hidden.
I know this article is a bit lengthy but I want to convey whatever information I have for beginners. Just a few more steps….. stay right there!
3. Eyes and brows:
Eyes are the focal point of any makeup look. For eye makeup and eyebrows, you need to see what your eye shape is. I just recommend a little contouring on the eyes and a beautiful shimmer shade on the lids with eyeliner and loads of mascara sums up a classic eye look for every occasion. here is a reference picture for different eye shapes.

4. Lips:
The final touch in our step-by-step makeup tutorial is lips. Whether you prefer a bold red, a soft nude, or a vibrant pink, select a lip color that complements your overall look. Outline your lips with a lip liner to define their shape, then fill in with your chosen lipstick or gloss. Gently blot with a tissue for a more natural finish or leave it as is for a bolder statement.
Bottom Line:
Discover your makeup style. Don’t just copy without getting enough information about the product or technique. Remember, practice is key, so don’t be discouraged if your initial attempts aren’t perfect. Experiment with different products, techniques, and colors to discover what works best for you. The world of makeup is a playground, and I hope this information serves as your guide to navigating it with confidence. Stay on Beautyspade for more such easy step by step makeup tutorials. Happy beautifying!
